[Advaita-l] Upadesha Panchakam 4

The fourth shloka:

kShudvyAdhishcha chikitsytAM pratidinaM bhikShauShadaM bhujyatAM
svAdvannaM na tu yAchyatAM vidhivashAtprApnena santuShyatAm|
audAsInyamabhIpsyatAM janakR^ipAnaiShThuryamutsR^ijyatAM
shItoShNadi viShahyAtAM na tu vR^ithA vAkyaM samuchcharyantAm||4||

1. The disease called hunger should be treated
2. To this end (of curing hunger) the medicine of mendicancy (bhiksha)
should be taken
3. Tasty food should not be desired
4. One dhould be happy with what one gets through one's fate (vidhi)
4. The study of non-attachment (indifference) to good and bad should be
desired
6. The kindness or cruelty of the people must be ignored
7. Cold and heat must be suffered (with equanimity)
8. Useless words must not be uttered
