In the karmakanda it is non-Brahman.  In fact it is assumed that the 
reader is limited by caste, gender, wealth and many other factors.  In the 
jnanakanda it is Brahman.  It is assumed that the reminder is all-knowing, 
all-pervading and immortal.

You're doing it again.  If you are asking a question, stop until 1. You 
get an answer, 2.  you understand the answer, before careering of into 
speculation about what the answer ought to be.
