[Advaita-l] 'iti' in the vAcArambhaNa shruti

True. In local languages sometimes they will say a useless person is like
raw lump of Clay. Someone has to take that raw lump and make something
useful like a Pot. But Adi Sankara is challenging this Vyavaharika
usefulness. The Vyavaharika usefulness of Pot is Mithya. It cannot be
ultimate reality. Therefore the Pot is not better than raw Clay lump. It is
Mithya. Both are only Clay in the end. Same logic is used for World and
Vyavahara.
