Why search for flowers?

gabhiire kaasaare vishati vijane ghoravipine
vishaale shaile cha bhramati kusumaarthaM jaDamatiH |
samarpyaikaM chetaH sarasijamumaanaatha bhavate
sukhenaavasthaatuM jana iha na jaanaati kimaho || 9||

The ignorant go in search of flowers to worship thee, O Lord of
umaa, by entering deep lakes, roaming in lonely and terrible
forests, and climbing huge mountains. It is indeed a wonder that
people do not know the truth that just by offering the lotus
flower of mind to thee, one can remain in the state of joy here.
