Dating of the Mahabharata

Namaskaaram,

This is slightly off-topic. I was searching the net to find out a valid date
for the Mahabharata.(One can do it by searching it in google). I find all
sorts of dates mentioned. Does anyone know the *exact* date? Did our
AchAryas speculate on it?
