Yes as long as it furthers the goals of dharma and moksha and is in line 
with the teachings of Shankaracharya and Smarta sampradaya.  Obviously 
there will be some grey areas and if there are any doubts please feel free 
to contact the moderators at listmaster at advaita-vedanta.org
