[Advaita-l] Why Creation etc

My understanding goes along these lines:


There is no creation, but to explain this apparent appearance/existence of the world we resort to drshti-shrsti and other theories. As long as a person is trapped in the dream world, he needs explanation regarding the dream world, its objects, its ways and rules, its logic and laws, etc. But for an awakened person, nothing regarding the dream is of interest - in fact, nothing of the dream is even real enough to warrant his interest or curiosity.

This is also what Raman Maharishi believed - that even though ajata vada is the ultimate truth, for those trapped in the world some sort of explanation would help, like drishti-shristi etc.

This is what I feel. Feel free to disagree.
