Hi Rama, these are not Shrauta Yajñas. It just so happens that the vidvāns I know in Mattur who are invited to participate in such yajñas are the ones who have mastered Shrauta Sutram. Such rigorous training most likely prepares somebody to perform the samhitA-yAga with ease and some facility.
