If the subject is akhaNDa, the vRtti which illuminates/removes aGYAna of it

It gets its akhaNDAkAra because of the illumination by the self-effulgent
subject...

In that sense, "vRtti removes aGYAna" is not fully correct, though it has a
role to play, as vRtti vyApti
