This portion of the upanishad is about the creation of many 'pati-s' and
Shankara clearly says: ityādi, even when the upanishad does not say so.
Shankara says that it is well known. Vishnu is listed, along with other
deities, as the pati of mountains in the Krishna yajur veda samhita. The
