The mandukya expression नप्रज्ञानघनं na prajnānaghanam' does not mean the
Shuddha chaitanyam.  The bhashyam is clear:  नप्रज्ञानघनमिति
सुषुप्तावस्थाप्रतिषेधः  It is  a negation of the deep sleep state.  The
deep sleep state is described by the 5th mantra:

यत्र सुप्तो न कञ्चन कामं कामयते न कञ्चन स्वप्नं पश्यति तत्सुषुप्तम् ।
सुषुप्तस्थान एकीभूतः *प्रज्ञानघन *एवानन्दमयो ह्यानन्दभुक्चेतोमुखः
प्राज्ञस्तृतीयः पादः ॥ ५ ॥

It is that word prajnānaghana in that mantra that is being negated in 7th
mantra.  The bhashyam for that word in the above mantra is:

अत एव स्वप्नजाग्रन्मनःस्पन्दनानि प्रज्ञानानि घनीभूतानीव ; सेयमवस्था
अविवेकरूपत्वात्प्रज्ञानघन उच्यते । यथा रात्रौ नैशेन तमसा अविभज्यमानं सर्वं
घनमिव, तद्वत्प्रज्ञानघन एव । एवशब्दान्न जात्यन्तरं
प्रज्ञानव्यतिरेकेणास्तीत्यर्थः ।

Shankara says that the perceptions, prajnanams, of the waking and dream are
as though in an undifferentiated mass, prajnana ghanam, in sushupti.  This
is only vishaya vijnanam, called by the term prajnana ghana, sopādhika
jnanam.

In Brihadaranyaka, the expression means shuddha chaitanyam as in prajnānam
Brahma of the Aitareya.  This is nirupādhika jnanam.
