[Advaita-l] Question: What is 'त्रैत-प्रमाण' (traita-pramANa) ?

Pranams.

"तत्त्व दृष्टि is 'मृत्तिकेत्येव सत्यम्'.  This is त्रैत प्रमाण. "

"tattva dRRiShTi is 'mRRittiketyeva satyam'.  This is traita-pramANa.

त्रैत-प्रमाण is third pramana, that is upamAna pramana.

There are 6 pramanas in Vedanta:
1. प्रत्यक्ष     pratyakSha
2. अनुमान    anumAna
3. उपमान    upamAna
4. आगम     aagama
5. अर्थापत्ति   arthApatti
6. अनुपलब्धि  anupalabdhi


I read this word in the book:
अद्वैत् प्रकरण (माण्डुक्य कारिका प्रवचन by स्वामी श्री अखण्डानन्द सरस्वती).

advait prakaraNa (mANDukya kArikA pravachana
     by svAmI shrI akhaNDAnanda sarasvatI)|

This book is in Hindi. I suggest Hindi knowing sadhakaa to study this book.
