Dear Sri Venkatraghavan

Sometime back, had gone through the following book :

God-realization Through Reason by Swami Iswarananda

He has compiled all the statements from Sruti and Sri Shankara bhAshya,
where sushupti is equated to the Self itself and has explored in detail.

One may want to go through, if interested.

Regards

Note: Ultimately, it is one's choice - if one wants to see sushupti as sat
svarUpa (kevala sat) or avidya bIja, for paramArtha vicAra ( manana ).. (as
no amount of discussions can convince either of them, as sushupti is one's
own daily experience :)
