Yes, as an atyAshrami bhagavaan ramaNa too like raikva, vAchaknavi etc. a brahma jnAni / realized soul and for the atyAshrami there is no restrictions as we find in traditional way of teaching / sAdhana.  Same thing is applicable to 'beedi baaba' Sri nisargadatta maharaj, so says his followers.
