of our Acharyas specifically mention this that for Uttama Adhikari, Sravana
directly leads to Jnana and Moksha, while Madhyama adhikari require
Nidhidhyasa and the Mandha adhikari requires Karma+Upasana.>>,



You could refer to Jivanmukti Viveka of Swami Vidyaranya , vAsanAkshaya
prakaranam, pp 124 in the book by Swami Harshananda of RK mutt (English
version ).



विद्याधिकारी द्विविधः, कृतोपास्तिरकृतोपास्तिश्चेति  ।



(vidyAdhikArI dvividhaH, kRRitopAstirakRRitopAstishcheti  |),



Translation  << Aspirants entitled for knowledge are of two kinds: those  who
have gone through the discipline of worship (upAsanA), and those who are
yet to undergo >>.



The terms are further explained therein. The first kind is specifically
stated to be the real uttama adhikAri. The second could then be considered
the madhyama adhikAri.
