Namaste,
One may talk 'n' no. of philosophies but who knows when the death comes !
Kanchi Paramacharya used to say that it is the fear of death which is more frightening than
the actual one. For that He advised the daily recital of शतरुद्रियं and meditation of Lord Mrityunjaya.
तैत्तिरीय आरण्यक portions have enlightening mantras especially the द्वितीय प्रपाठक also called
The 23rd अनुवाकः from स्वाध्याय ब्राह्मणम् has the potency of removing the fear of death &
accidental death which was told to us by our vedic teacher.
Sayana says -
Those who cannot recite the vedic portions, can recite the
followed by नारायण and रामनाम स्मरणं .
rgs,
sriram
