 is not clear - it seems to equate the mithyA upAdhi with the upanisadic
Atman ??

can you elaborate, what was intended ?


Yes. Just as the snake is realized to be none other than the rope, the
body-mind complex is realized to be in truth the true self. Here the
imagined object is negated on the realization of the real object there.
Upon negation what remains is the real object alone. What was wrongly seen
as snake is verily the rope. This is the baadha saamaanaadhikaranyam.
