Hi,

Pranams.

In this context, I am reminded of a similar incident in Thirukoilur Thapovanam of Sri Gnanananda Giri Mahaswamigal.Sri Yogiram SuratKumar, the silent yogi of Tiruvannamalai was loitering around the place, looking like a beggar. A visitor took umbrage to this and wondered why people should respect such loafers and loiterers. When Sri Gnananandagiri Mahaswamigal heard this, he told the visitor: "You sit silently for five minutes like what the seeming beggar does and then we will see." Of course, the visitor was not initially aware of Sri Yogiram Suratkumar's identity and he mistook him to be a very ordinary street beggar. He tried to sit idle, but within seconds, gave up the attempt to compete with the seeming beggar. This incident was narrated by Sri Yogiram Suratkumar himself in a book later. Ramesh Ramanan.

 Namaste,
 You have
thrown a veritable, powerful, loaded, potential aphorism,
 'sUtRa'.
 MahaRshi recognised his
already 'mokshafied' state. As he did not follow the
'sampRadAya', he could only declare the ultimate
state, mental attitude and not how one could recognise that
from the clutter. That, one will have to extract from -
 'summa iru'.
 In
 'BhAgavatham' , 'ajagaravRutti' of King
Rishabha is told. Probably that might be the ultimate
 'suma iru' !
 Swami ParamARthAnanda
Ji quiet often tells the story of a newly arrived Temple
 Administrator.
 While checking the expenses
he found an interesting head - expenses towards 'summa
irikkaNu Swamiyaar'. The fresh Administrator ordered an
immediate stoppage. Since others had great respect for the
Swamiyaar they requested the Administrator himself may
inform the Swamiyaar regarding the new dispensation.
Thus he went to the 'summa irikkaNa
Swamiyaar' and informed him.He told him - what nonsense
is this. Why should we bear a lazy person. Swamiyaar
politely asked him to try what he is doing - 'summa
 irikkaNam'.
 Admin took the challenge
and sat down simply. . Sooner than later he became restless
and couldn't bear the pressure 'TO BE ACTIVE' .
He threw up his hands and left leaving the Swamiyyar quiet
eligible for a still higher allowance from the Temple
 Trust.
 Swamiyaar continued to be the
 'summa irikkaNu Swamiyaar'.
 Thanks
Venkata Sriram Ji, for this single bullet capable of
destroying 'samsaara' for a 'mumukshu' who
is an 'utthama sdhikaari' who having recognised the
end goal will , with the grace of BhagavAn, reveive the
'jnAnam' from a 'shrotRiya BrahmanishTa' and
 sit 'summa'.
