A correction:

I had ended my post thus:  // The ghaTaakasha analogy is relevant in
mananam.  The above portions, especially the Kathopanishad, is all
nididhyasanam.  So, the tarka part in the mananam stage is preceded by the
nididhyasanam stage.//

It should actually read....at the end:    So, the tarka part in the mananam
stage precedes the nididhyasanam stage.
