It "clicked" in my mind when I clicked send! :-) Apologies. Indeed, its an
interesting subtlety.

I want to see if I see anything more in TIkAs. I have one reason why
Bhashyakara drops iti, but thats my DSV perspective and since this very
Shruti is quoted by Bhashyakara in vaitathyaprakaraNa for jagat being a
mere kalpanA.
