​If there are no jIvas in a dream, who is dreaming? The dreamer is the jIva
who is none other than the waker brahman. In fact, this dream becomes the
example in EJV to explain the exemplified waking state, which you seem to
have understood.

OTOH, if you are questioning the dream of the waker which is itself said to
be like a dream, its like a dreamer dreaming another dream.
