The same case with the famous Anantheshwara Temple in Udupi.  Very recently
the Madhva MaTha has changed the name of the temple (on the entrance board)
as 'Anantheshwara sannidhi'.  Dr.B.N.K.Sharma in his paper in the 1930's
has clearly stated, while defending a supposed objection that Madhvas are
averse to Shiva, that 'till his end Madhvacharya taught his disciples
seated in the Anantheshwara Temple.'  But recently Dr.Bannanje
Govindacharya emphatically said that the Linga there is of Vishnu.
