[Advaita-l] {भारतीयविद्वत्परिषत्} Goda Sastrigal passed away - need confirmation

Very sad to hear the news. More than 10 years ago, I approached him oneday to teach me Adviata Siddhi - He was teaching at that time in Tamil and I told him I do not understand Tamil that much. He asked me, what language do you understand. I told him my mother's tongue is Telugu. He immediately said come everyday by 7:30 AM, I will teach you in Telugu. He was very compassionate. The classes went on for few months. After that he had to be admitted in aHospital and later I had to leave to US. His association was very educational for me and I cherish that sat sangh.

Yes, I got the confirmation.  He passed away last night about 2.30 AM.  He
had a heart ailment before.

Very sad indeed.  He worked in the RBI, Chennai, and was a regular
participant at the Sringeri Mahaganapati Vakyartha Sadas.  He has trained
many aspirants for the prestigious Tenali Shaastra Exams.  He was a Devi
Upasaka too and used to conduct several sabha-s for various purposes. Very
recently he had conducted a Dvaita-Advaita sabha at Chennai, a
first-of-its-kind.


Very sad news for us .
