[Advaita-l] SADHANA - The different Paths

Dear Friends,                       The Ultimate truth by following different paths of Sadhana is Causeless. It is not having any purpose. Since you want to know the 'Truth', you have digged the facts, you got the answer. Saint Ramakrsihna explains to us Truth is of two kinds:First one can easily be verified through the senses, Scientifc knowledge, confined to the world of tansient materialistic things. The other one, which is very difficult to know or understand which can only be perceivable subtle intuition arising form Yoga. This is possible only after increasing  your consciousness in subtle mind by a sriguru who is the transmitter of the kundalini shakti. It can also be obtained by vedic knowledge  which is eternal, not confined to time and place. Acharya Sadanand ji mentions that it is 'Apoursheya' , did not came from any body's mouth.The creator itself creates, maintains (sustains), destroys after its purpose being served with vedic knowledge.
The vedas concerns the work to be done and knowledge. Work exists in the realm of the material world through maya where as knowledge is eternal which can only be obtained by vedanta.
The ultimate truth is not found by the hypnotic words but it is found in utter silence like Lord Dakshina Murthy transfer the knowledge of Truth to his four sunakams (muni rushishwars -veda swarapa's) in silence.
Ramakrishna  told to his devotees always do your duties to the family by keeping the mind on god. Live your life with children, wife, father & mother and SERVE THEM. Please treat them as the forms of god and they were very dear to you.  Also remember the fact in your mind that they do not belong to you.
Sri Ramakrishna Initiated different people into different spiritual disciplines according to their needs and desires and made the way to establish a monsatic order of monks for non-house holders through his famous disciple ' Swami Vivekananda'

Here we are merely stating a fact that we are yetslaves of our wishes putting bar to our advancement. We humbly states that our wishes are putting bar toour advancement. I feel that if the prayer was effectively used prayer willprevent us from developing wishes for the future.


 
It is the art of the god only and it is his power tobring us up to that stage. Prayer is just a beginning of new life and the functionof the ultimate was finished with the first Kshobh. There was an impulsecontinued the creation which goes on for ever ever. To govern that universe, tokeep control over that, to maintain it and to change it, is not any more hisfunction.

The MASTER has come to help us change because changeis not automatic as it requires push & external power should occurnaturally without resistance from ourselves.

The greatest benefit of the meditation in the morningis that it trains us to regulated our mind, instead of being the slaves of ourmind, we have to become the masters of our mind. For this we need to doregulation for constant focusing, may be you requires some sort of training oryogic practices or asana dharana niyamas.


 
E.g.,If ou have a Dog and you want to train it, you use the dog itself to train it.Simlilarly to master a horse, you have to ride it again & again and againuntil you have mastered the horse. so there can be no training programme in that sense. Any method to be used/adopted to train & regulated our selves.
The mission of the prayer could be: O " Master, you are the real goal of my life, what is standing in between us are my foolish wishes and desires for your powers, your beauty and your wealth.  Although you also can give your self to me, since you already given your energy to me and I feel that you & your energy are same only. Then how can there could be a difference exists? It the people surrounded by us who are creating disturbances in our thoughts, daily activities and interfering for the wested benefits.

Sh. Rama Krishna explains that it is Real and everything else which is its manifestation in different form is equally real. Finally my conclusion is that                                               " If some one gets cheated in life, you are rather lucky because your suffering takes you to the depth towards reaching brahman where as the cheat remains superficial for ever. From the losses you have created the eternal treasures for yourself  where as  The cheater have already greased the wheels of his downfall.

The path of Discrimination & the path of Devotion.  The first one is Discriminationi i.e Rational, it thinks & reject the things that are impermanent, net, neti, net (Not this) i.e I am not my money, I am not my body, I am not my mind....until by process of elimination, the aspirant/disciple comes to a permanent & therefore the reality exists. The path of Knowledge has a concept of the ultimate Ideal from the beginning and goes forward consciously towards it.                  The Devotion on the other hand travels forwards with FAITH, Ignorant of where he will ultimately arrive. A literal man needing to experience everything himself, he was finding his own way, blundering through the dense undergrowth of his mind, the high altitude of his soul with unflinching faith & intense yearning he prayed to the mother of the universe for the self - realisation, surrounding himself totally to her wishes. He declares finally that " As many faiths with so many Paths".
Quite often, Ramakrishna was in his state of utter desperation , Cried out to the Mother & said:Yet another day passed in the TIME, Mother: what is life worth if I cannot see you??I have suffered so long. Are you just a chunk of Stone? Some times I doubt you exists.Am I a fool to believe there exists a Consciousness of which this stone is only a representation?Mother you shown yourself to other devotees. Why won't you show yourself to me? or IS THERE ANY DIVINE CONCIOUSNESS EXSISTS ALWAYS WITH IN ME???
Why the mother won't grant our prayers? I have been praying to you mother for quite some time.I can't go or leave this physical body without a glimpse of you Mother, I would rather die.
Finally , ' A life history of Ramakrishna Says' that The mother wallks to Ramakrishna in ecasty and said that my child, I am please with you, you are my Kid, let me know your wish as I am please to grant the Boons. I believe that there is nothing harm to the Land with your presence so you are my son only, come on, Let us Pray together for the welfare of Mankind.
