Thanks for this reference. The reference is very clear. In the BSB too
Shankara mentions Vyasa as 'Vedacharya.'
BSB 3.3.32
In Ishavasya bhashyam: He cites a Mahabharata verse and says - thus
instructed the Vedacharya Vyasa to his son.
There is a detailed description of the Krishna Dvaipayana - Vyasa in the
MB. Shankara gives yet another quote from the MB and says it is of
Dvaipayana: BSB 2.3.29:
https://sanskritdocuments.org/mirrors/mahabharata/unic/mbh12_sa.html
Thus Shankara is clear that Krishna Dvaipayana, Vyasa is the author of the
MB.
And he has said that 'Vyasa does not accept atom, etc. as jagatkaranam' in
the BSB. Vyasa has said that in the sutras. In MB and other puranas, like
Padma, Kurma, etc. too the refutation of other schools not
Vedanta-friendly, is made. All these texts are of Veda Vyasa alone.
