[Advaita-l] Regarding the Pancharatra, Shankara is one with Purvamimamsa

 I am not interested in new definitions or re-definitions of Sankhya. Sankhya in MB is Sankhya of Kapila as the MB itself says. Period. Theory of 2 sankhyas, 2 kapilas, 2 buddhas etc would strain one's credulity.

I am not sure how much you are following this thread.
If Badarayana is refuting sankhya and pancaratra in BS and Vyasa is accepting the two in MB, both have to be different.


Regarding pancharatra there can be some mix-up. But regarding sankhya your understanding is not as per the Vedanta.  As I have said before, Sankhya accepted in the MB is purely Vedanta.  Here is the link to the MB chapter where Krishna Dvaipayana dialogue is found that covers sankhya/yoga:

A sample of verses there:
   
क्षेत्राणि हि शरीराणि बीजानि च शुभाशुभे |तानि वेत्ति स योगात्मा ततः क्षेत्रज्ञ उच्यते ||६||नागतिर्न गतिस्तस्य ज्ञेया भूतेन केनचित् |साङ्ख्येन विधिना चैव योगेन च यथाक्रमम् ||७||
This is purely in tune with the BG 13th chapter and the 2nd and other chapters of the BG and the Upanishads.
The sankhya refuted in the BS is a doctrine that holds pradhana to be the jagatkaaranam and they don't talk about Brahman at all. 
To my knowledge, even the Ramanuja Bhashya recognizes that adhikarana in the BS on Pancharatra as genuine but considers some sutras there as purvapaksha and some others as siddhanta.  Shankara takes that entire adhikarana as a refutation of pancharatra. So does Bhaskara. As I understand, for Madhva that adhikarana is not about pancharatra at all.

While such is the case, the immediately previous adhikaranam on Pashupata mata, Madhva takes it like all other bhashya kaaras.
