[Advaita-l] Previous Kali Yugas in Shastras?

Not everyone is a sannyasi or interested strictly in philosophy only. In
that case why place any importance on puranas at all? I'm sorry but I don't
agree that it is a waste of time to ask such questions, unless one has
renounced everything and is living in some forest somewhere.
