2. Is the lack of avidya equivalent to Self Realisation? (I think not)

Interesting.  What else needs to be done after the effacement of avidyA in its entireity??  Is there any subsequent step that needs to be achieved after getting rid of avidyA to get self-realization  ?? Please clarify.  OTOH, bhAshyakAra clarifies that avidyA is the ONLY hindrance, if you get rid of it mukti happens on its own since it is self-effulgent which cannot be achieved afresh through any means.
