That is true only because of Vedanta is the science of absolute and it is not a theory or doctrine. Hence anything in tune with Vedanta has to be acceptable and anything that does not agree with it has to be rejected. 
Shankara provides a brilliant commentary in terms of what is Science in his introduction to Maitreyee Brahmana. All objective sciences also come under false and are valid only in the relative plane. 
The word science is derived from the root -scier - meaning to know and the word science really means -knowledge. In Sanskrit, vid means to know and Veda means science and Vedanta means the ultimate science. Hence anything in tune with Vedanta has to be true too.
