Dear Sir,                Yes indeed, it is above any body's conception. The Sri Guru is also a form of mother goddess (abheda bhavanam) after transmitting the kundalini to the deserving disciple, Guru lives around the disciple in & out in different forms. With in the body, he moves through the packets of energy in the sushumana channel, some times visible like flashes after the kundalini is active and out side the body he protects the 'Aura'(protecting cover for the human energy field) of the disciple so that no negative energy reaches.
Since he transfers the kundalini from the  'guru mandala', it moves in the direction where the guru mandala is on the top geographically. The energy is very powerful once kundalini is active in the body, some times it distracts the disciples, only the guru can control it  as he can balances it (due to equal in strength) and keeps the disciple in the right track/direction. For this the disciples should have the strong will & determination to reach the lotus feet. It may not happen in one single life time, but some times it may  take 1-2 life times for the needy, deserving disciples.

Sri Guru Padaravindarpana MastuKameswara
