Very true. They think that the acceptance of Brahman as Nirguna has no
place for Ishwara in Advaita. They concluded that 'to deny guNa-s in
Brahman is the way of Daitya-s' and so equated Shankara to a daitya (vide
the Madhva Vijaya of Narayana Pndita).
