With प्रज्ञानम् ब्रह्म the is no such usage >>,

I do not think this is correct. The very first sentence in the Bhashya
clears this

<< स एषः प्रज्ञानरूप आत्मा ब्रह्म अपरं सर्वशरीरस्थः >>

<< sa eShaH praj~nAnarUpa AtmA brahma aparaM sarvasharIrasthaH >>.

MahAvAkya is one which declares jIva-Brahma-Aikya. So without bringing in
the "personal", it ceases to be a mahAvAkya.
