[Advaita-l] देवी माहात्म्यं doubt

Namaste,

शक्ति+ऋष्टि = शक्त्यृष्टि

As per the sutra इको यणचि, when इ, ई are followed by स्वराः other than इ and ई, 
then the preceding  इ is substituted with य् .  So, इ+ऋ becomes य् hence, शक्त्यृष्टि.

This is also called अच् सन्धि
