It is interesting to note that Totakacharya, while composing the above
text Shrutisaarasamuddharanam is inspired by another famous shloka (
which appears as a dhyanashloka in Vishnu Sahasranama )while doing the
invocation -
त्रैलोक्यनाथहरिमीड्यमुदारसत्त्वं शक्तेस्तनूजतनयं परमेष्ठिकल्पम् ।
जीमूतमुक्तविमलाम्बरचारुवर्णं वासिष्ठमुग्रतपसं प्रणतोऽस्मि नित्यम् ॥ १ ॥
Here the verse that comes to our mind is:
व्यासं वसिष्ठनप्तारं शक्तेः पौत्रमकल्मषम्।
पराशरात्मजं वन्दे शुकतातं तपोनिधिम्
व्यास पहले वसिष्ट का प्रपोत्र और शक्ति का पोता हैं। वे पराशर के पुत्र और
शुक के पिता हैं। मैं व्यास जो सभी दोषों से मुक्त और तपस्या का खज़ाना है उसे
दण्डवत प्रणाम करता हुँ।
