In this sutra, the point that 'aparoksha jnanam can arise not necessarily
in the life in which shravana, etc. (even nididhyasana) took place, but
even in a later life' is discussed. Shankara cites the case of Vamadeva
where it is admitted that he got the aparoksha jnana while in the mother's
womb. Shankara makes a significant point: 'It is clear that it is not
possible for someone in the womb to practice any sadhana.' So, here is a
case where all sadhana is over before but the sadhana phala did not arise
owing to some or the other pratibandha. Once the pratibandha is exhausted,
the knowledge arose, in this case, //even when no jnana prabodhaka sadhana
was undertaken.//

Shankara goes on to include the yoga bhrashTa case of the BG 6th ch., which
was already discussed in this thread. So, for Shankara, this is also a case
where the samskara of sadhana done in one life remains, is continued and
perfected in a different life.
