What happens to the subtle body after videha mukti?

As I understood this after the Vidheha mukti i.e Liberation (kundalini comming out by piercing the brahmmarandhra), The subtle body makes an astral journey to find out another jiva who has his karmic debts uncleared or karma pending and by that way getting an outercover for someone.
