 Dear Sri Harsh Raval,
Kindly note that the sages to whom the The Absolute revealed Its True SvarUpawere all gRuhastAs. You go through the ten principal Upanishads, You will see father teaching Brahmavidya to his eldest son. You will see Kings teaching Brahmavidya. You will see brahmavidya being taught to a householder.  A gruhasta with two wives and who was running a school taught Brahmavidya
to a king.   The most important and essential qualification  the student should posess before starting the journey is given out by the mantra from Kathopanishad
thus : "yamEvaiSha vRuNutE vivRuNutE tanuM svAm".
In the 20th century there was Sage in Kerala who was a government employee. His name was Sri Krishna Menon (Sri Atmanada). He was a gruhasta. You can read his biography and get vastly benifitted from the Book "The Spiritual Discourses Of Sri Atmanada"which is available on the web.

So according to the tradition of the Sages of Upanishads the gruhasta has every right to take up the study of The Vedanta for Atmajnana provided he has the necessary mental make up.
With respectful regards,Sreenivasa Murthy

 Hello
My name is harsh.
I have one question.

Can a person attain self realization while living in grihastha ashram and
doing worldy activities(doing a job)?

For eg:- For doing wordly activities one requires to be turn outwards
whereas to contemplate on aatma one requires to turn inwards?

So can a person desiring self realization devote half of his time to wordly
activities and half to meditate on aatma attain self realization?

If yes then how?
