Good Friday is a day which finds great appeal with many people around the world. The body of Christ hanging on the cross evokes a mix of emotions. It brings with it great sadness and grief, the experiencing of a great loss and the desire of many to feel some of the peace and surrender of Jesus which they struggle to find in their own lives.

This act of self-sacrifice on the cross is something that has inspired many men and women of good faith, to live a life of self-sacrifice, by giving up homes, country and their wealth and belongings to serve God both at home and in faraway lands. It may sound strange that self-sacrifice is the path to spiritual fulfilment and that love can overcome all things, even death. But, as history shows us, this is true.

Let us not, therefore, be disheartened and sad like the disciples, who thought that was the end of Jesus’s story and their own stories, because morning did arrive, when agony was changed to glory. Suffering in this life is not the end of our stories. It will end with a vision of God and be the culmination of lives lived for humanity’s sake and God.

In Similar way, although there were cross hangings or blood flow comming out of the body,
We can see similar messengers who are self surrender to themselves to Support their Master.
e.g Take the case of Lord Hanuman, he has a vital  role in the whole Ramayana and submitted everything of his life to his Master i.e Lord Rama and didn't take a single pride or never expected anything in return out of his acts or his service to his master.
Chitra Pournami: The full moon day in the lunar month of Chaitra or Chitra is known as Chitra Pournami. This year 2022, it falls on Saturday 16th April. As is usual with all Hindu festivals and special days, this day is closely connected with the planets especially the sun and moon. Astrologically speaking on this day the sun will be in the sign of Aries and the moon in the sign of Libra. Chitra, the brightest star at this time will be transiting. This day is said to be the birthday of Chitragupta, the assistant of Yama, the Lord of Death. He is the one who keeps a very secret account of all the good and bad karmas of every single person in the world. He does not miss anything either good or bad that the person has either thought or done. In fact he is the CCTV camera kept by Yama in each human being. Everything is recorded. A Register was kept to Record all Karmic Transactions. All activities are recorded in the Video form with Nature's eyes i.e Sun-Moon. His very name suggests this. “Chitra” means picture and “gupta” means secret. So you see that our ancients were fully aware of the necessity of getting secret pictures of everyone’s thoughts and deeds long before the modern generation started using secret cameras. In fact we had gone one step ahead since Chitragupta was fully aware of every single thought and not merely actions.
Any Full moon has always strong effect on our minds and it easily observed during the rise & fall of tides. Our Physical bodies consists of 72% water so now one can easily understand how much the full moon will have effect on our minds. Full moons have always gives creativity with positive sentiments.

Hanuman was born on ChitraPournamiwhich as we have seen has all astrological benefits for controlling our mindand shaking off our negative tendencies and acquiring positivetendencies. Hanuman symbolisesthe highest potential the human mind can achieve. His name gives a clue to hischaracter. It is composed of the two Sanskrit words, “Han”and “man”. “Hanan” means to annihilate and “man” stands for mind, in Sanskrit. Accordingto “yoga”, the body is controlled by the mind; Interestingly Hanuman who hadperfect control over his mind has a most developed body. Because of this he isknown as “Bajaranga bali”which means one whose body is like the thunderbolt and whose movements are likelightning.  He is so strong that he can move mountains and so agile thathe can leap across the sea. The twelve postures of Yoga, known as “suryanamaskar”,or salutation to the sun, are supposed to have been composed by Hanuman in honourof his celestial Guru – Surya -the Sun God. His father, Vayu, the god of windtaught him the science of breath control known as “pranayama”, which isessential for controlling the mind.
Hanumanis an example of the perfect shishyaor disciple - totally focussed, hardworking, determined, brilliant, yet humble. He never flaunted hisbrilliance and scholarship but always sat at the feet of his Lord, Rama - everthe humble servant. He had no desire for name and fame. Even though he lived ina palace with Rama, he preferred the solitude of the mountains and forests andnever indulged his senses but lived like a hermit – the supreme Brahmachari,  performed
all actions without expectation ofpersonal benefit, dedicating the results to his Lord, Rama. All his feats werefor the sake of others, never for himself. He chose not to marry and have afamily of his own so that he could devote himself entirely to the service ofhis master.

The one thing we can ask of him on this day is to uplift our spiritualqualities and give us unswerving devotion to God by which alone we can conquerourselves as well as remove the bad karmas of our past!

Jai Hanuman
