Namaste

The rule is: After the sukshma sharira leaves this body, it will reach the
loka that is destined to it based on its karma. If it is swarga, then it
will acquire a body that is suitable to experience the bhoga there. Same
in naraka. Without the appropriate sthula sharira there is no bhoga,
anywhere, including bhuloka. In the BSB Shankara says: the jiva (sukshma
sharira), after leaving this body, is something like one in murcha. It is
carried to its destined loka by special courier-devatas: aativaahika.
