In an Anugraha Sandesha, Jagadguru Sri Sri Vidhushekara Bharati Sannidhanam
detailed the ten Naama-Aparaadhas–offences that people who chant the Divine
Name must avoid :
1. Insulting noble people
2 3. Explaining the greatness of the Divine Name to an unqualified
person, looking upon Shiva & Vishnu as different and haggling over the
superiority of one form over the other,
4 5 6 . Lack of faith in instructions of the Vedas, Shastras and the Guru
(constituting 3 offences),
7. Attributing the greatness of the Name to be mere glorification
8 9. Resorting to prohibited actions and giving up recommended actions
under the pretext that chanting the Divine Name suffices (constituting two
offences)
10. Equating the chanting of the Divine Name to other acts.
Only a Vedantin can say this. Pranams to the Jagadguru.
