Dakshinamurthy Stotra:
विश्वं दर्पणदृश्यमाननगरीतुल्यं निजान्तर्गतं
पश्यन्नात्मनि मायया बहिरिवोद्भूतं यथा निद्रया ।
यः साक्षात्कुरुते प्रबोधसमये स्वात्मानमेवाद्वयं
तस्मै श्रीगुरुमूर्तये नम इदं श्रीदक्षिणामूर्तये ॥१॥
Here the world is said to appear in oneself, in one's
own Atman. A similar saying occurs in the Bhagavata:

मन्यमान इदं विश्वं मायारचितमात्मनि ।
अविद्यारचितस्वप्नगन्धर्वनगरोपमम् ॥ १५ ॥
Dhruva realizes that this world is imagined in him by the maya (deluding)
power of God. He gives an illustration for this: Just as a dream,
Gandharvanagara, (a semblance of a city witnessed in the sky due to a
strange cloud formation) is created by ignorance, so too the world is
created by the deluding power of Ishwara.
From this statement we know incidentally: What happens in a dream is a
product of Avidya
Here is an explanation for the ignorance-base for bondage, misery etc.
अहं त्वमित्यपार्था धीः अज्ञानात् पुरुषस्य हि ।
स्वाप्नीवाभात्यतद्ध्यानाद् यया बन्धविपर्ययौ ॥ ४ ॥
This false sense of 'I', 'Thou' etc., arises from mistaking the body which
is not the Self, for the Self. The illustration of a dream is given to show
that this thinking is not true. Just as objects and persons are not true in
dreams, so is the idea of difference, bheda, not true in the waking life.
From this statement it can be concluded that the creation of dream is due
to ignorance.
Shankara says in his commentary on the Brahmasutra:
अध्यासो नाम आतस्मिंस्तद्बुद्धिः (Taking the one (rope) for what it is not
(snake) in (the rope) is adhyasa, error .
Thus several Advaita concepts abound in the Bhagavata.
