Namaste.
My understanding
Reg << When one attains Jnana, one cannot fall back to Ajnana. Hence it is
binary in nature >>,
In the texts on Advaita, the term *jnAni* is used to address a variety of
persons ;; Certain types of Upasakas (who are ajnAnis in the Sidhantic
sense), those having parOksha jnAna (only astitva of Brahman, but not
bhAnatva), those having aparOksha jnAna with pratibandha, those having
aparOksha jnAna without prtibandha.
For purposes of this discussion, I understand jnAni as one who conforms to
the following
<< भिद्यते हृदयग्रन्थिश्छिद्यन्ते सर्वसंशयाः ।
क्षीयन्ते चास्य कर्माणि तस्मिन्दृष्टे परावरे ॥ >> Mundaka Up 2-2-9
<< bhidyate hRRidayagranthishChidyante sarvasaMshayAH |
kShIyante chAsya karmANi tasmindRRiShTe parAvare || >>
This jnAna is binary.
Reg << Nididhyasana is post jnana. Until Jnana it is only Manana. Even
Vedantic
Meditations can be considered only as Nirguna Upasana/Dhyana and not
Nididhyasana >>,
No. ShravaNa/Manana/NididhyAsana are all sAdhanAs practiced together *for*
jnAna. None of them is relevant post jnAna.
Reg << When one attains Jnana, one may practice Nididhyasana in order to
counter Viparita Bhavana >>,
No. The only practice recognized post jnAna is vidvat sanyAsa.
Reg << Even though one is a Jnani, if Viparita Bhavana is strong then
there is
a possibility of rebirth and there is no guarantee of Videha Mukti >>,
No. JnAni has no rebirth. Exceptions are mentioned in Bhashya. However they
do not negate the rule.
Reg << The word Brahmanishta can be used for Ajnani and Jnani as well >>,
It is not a question of whether it can be applied or not. While perusing
the texts on Advaita, it is necessary to be aware that such usage is in
vogue so that the texts do not lead to doubt or misunderstanding. The term
should be understood contextually.
