Kaushalya warns Dashrath in Ramayan: “Grief destroys courage. It destroys one’s learning and all noble attributes. There is no enemy greater than grief.” How then are we to look death courageously in the eyes? Krishn answers this question in Bhagwad Gita by pointing out how we may understand death in terms of moksha. At the beginning of Mahabharat, Arjun is doubtful as to whether he should really fight. He is grief-stricken by the prospect of killing his teachers and elders in battle.
Instead of contemplating death in fear, our lives should be a celebration and constant prayer of gratitude for everything – but most of all a thanksgiving to God for the chance to unite with the One Self. This is what Krishn taught Arjun about death. Read more on ‘The Joy of Death’ at https://www.speakingtree.in/ category-list/the-joy-of-deathSri Guru Padaravindarpana MastuKameswara
