PraNAms
to add to Shree Subbuji's statement.
.. and that inquiry is also part of prakruti. It is neither real nor unreal - sat asat vilakshanam. ..kRitvaa jnaanam swayam nasyet jalam kaTaka renuvat - Having done it's job, the inquiring knowledge also eliminates itself like having done its job kaTaka nut powder added to clean the water also sinks to the bottom leaving the pure water free from dirt and the nut powder.
PrakRiti is Lakshmi also with Vishnu (who pervades everything - vyaapakatvaat). As per shreevaishanvas, only via Lakshmi one can approach Narrayana.
One can also think of Lord Shiva as ardhanaareshwara - where prakruti and purush together.
Just my 2c.

Shankaracharya has indeed mentioned a lot about Prakriti in the Gita
bhashya and elsewhere too. He has said that it is trigunatmika maya
consisting of sattva, rajas and tamas. It is neither the same as Brahman
nor is it different from bramhan. Its status is anirvachaniya, that is, it
is unreal, mithya. It does not have an absolute existence; it appears and
it is experienced but upon enquiry it ceases to be.
