In the Taittiriya Upanishad Bhashya Vartika Ssureshwaracharya says:
Getting established in the Atman is with a view to annul Aditya. The
Upanishad is for the purpose of helping one to acquire this Vidya.
This Atma Vidya is aimed at destroying avidya.
Thus Sureshwaracharya holds vidya to be avidya virodhi, the 'enemy' of
avidya.
