[Advaita-l] Core Advaitic tenet in the Narayaniyam - The fear-causing 'second' dviteeya is only an imagination

In the verse 91.3 of the Narayaniyam, the revered author Sri Narayana
Bhattathiri, brings out the Upanishadic teaching: द्वितीयाद्वै भयं भवति
(Brihadaranyaka Upanishad: 1.4.2) - Fear is from the 'other, second'. The
second is due to the imagination of the mind.  When the mind is freed from
Maayaa the 'second' will cease to be.  For this to happen the constant
resort to the One, aikyam, alone is the way.

ननु विषयविक्षिप्तचेतसां कुतो मनःकर्मवागादीनामीश्वरे समर्पणं संभवतीत्याशङ्कय
न तावद् विषयो नाम वास्तवोऽस्ति किन्तु मनोविलासमात्रम् । अतो मनोनिरोधपूर्वकं
सर्वे समर्पयेदित्यभिप्रायेणाह--

भीतिर्नाम द्वितीयाद् भवति ननु मनःकल्पितं च द्वितीयं
 तेनैक्याभ्यासशीलो हृदयमिह यथाशक्ति बुद्ध्या निरुन्ध्याम् ।
मायाविद्धे तु तस्मिन् पुनरपि न तथा भाति मायाधिनाथं
तत् त्वां भक्त्या महत्या सततमनुभजन्नीश! भीतिं विजह्याम् ॥ ३ ॥

*Fear is caused by a second something which is different from us and.Is the
result of imagination of the mind and so think,Continuously that all things
are only one and ,*
Control as much as possible the activity of the brain and if,
In spite of it, the illusion affects the mind , control of the illusion,
Can only be done by praying to you who is immensely strong,
And oh God , I would get rid of all my fears like this. 91.3

 भीतिरिति । द्वितीयाद् आत्मात्मीयत्वेनाभिमन्यमानाच्छरीरादेः । नाम प्रसिद्धौ
। देहात्मवादिनामन्येषामपि देहस्यैव जन्मादि, नात्मनः, तस्य नित्यत्वादिति
प्रसिद्धम् । मनःकल्पितं मनसा सङ्कल्पविकल्पात्मिकयान्तःकरणवृत्त्या कल्पितम्
आरोपितम् । ऐक्याभ्यासशीलः यथा मृदादेरुत्पन्नस्य
घटादेर्मृदाद्यात्म[४९३]कत्वं, तथा ब्रह्मण उत्पन्नत्वाद् ब्रह्मैवेदं सर्वे न
ततः पृथक् किञ्चिदस्तीति चिन्तनशीलः सन् हृदयं बुध्घा
निश्चयात्मिक[४९४]यान्तःकरणवृत्त्या यथाशक्ति यावहुद्धिबलम् इह चिन्तितेऽर्थे
निरुन्ध्यां नियच्छेयम् । तस्मिन् हृदये मायाविद्धे
मायाकार्यकामक्रोधादिरञ्जिते सति पुनरपि निगृहीतेऽपि हृदये तथा न भाति
नैक्यंज्ञानमवतिष्ठते । तत् तस्माद् मायाधिनाथं मायाखामिनं त्वां महत्या
अनपायिन्या भक्त्या प्रेमलक्षणया सततमनुभजन् यथावसरं सेवमानः भीतिं संसारभयं
विजयां विशेषेण सर्वात्मना त्यजेयम् ॥ ३ ॥
