भस्मपांडुरदिग्धांगो ध्यायते मनसा भवम् ।।
यद्यकार्यसहस्राणि कृत्वा स्नायति भस्मना ।। २७.१२१ ।।
He who bathes having donned Bhasma (Vibhuti) and with the devoted thought
of Lord Rudra will be freed from thousands of sinful deeds he has committed:
तत्सर्वं दहते भस्म यथाग्निस्तेजसा वनम् ।।
तस्माद्यत्नपरो भूत्वा त्रिकालमपि यः सदा ।। २७.१२२ ।।
भस्मना कुरुते स्नानं गाणपत्यं स गच्छति ।।
संहृत्य च क्रतून्सर्वान्गृहीत्वामृतमुत्तमम् ।। २७.१२३ ।।
ध्यायंति ये महादेवं लीनास्तद्भावभाविताः ।।
उत्तरेणाथ पंथानं तेऽमृतत्वमवाप्नुयुः ।। २७.१२४ ।।
By meditating on Mahadeva, upon death, one goes through the northern
(bright) (Brahmaloka) path and attains liberation.
Three forms of Rudra: Agni (Rudra) by Tamas, Brahma from Rajas, Vishnu from
Sattva:
रुद्रस्य मूर्त्तयस्तिस्रो विज्ञेयाश्चापि पंडितैः ।।
तमो ह्यग्नी रजो ब्रह्मा सत्त्वं विष्णुः प्रकाशकः ।। २७.५२ ।।
