[Advaita-l] Surya mandala - Shiva - Linga Purana

In the Linga purana, while giving a very detailed description of Rudra
pervading the entire creation, here is a verse that says it is he who
presides the solar orb, surya mandala:
लिङ्गपुराणम् - पूर्वभागः/अध्यायः ८६

भीमः सुषिनाकेऽसौ भास्करे मंडले स्थितः।।
ईशानः सोमबिंबे च महादेव इति स्मृतः।। ८६.१३० ।।

He is also in the soma bimba, the moon.

There is a popular verse on Vishnu being the presiding deity in the solar
orb, Surya mandala:

ध्येयः सदा सवितृमण्डलमध्यवर्ती
नारायणः सरसिजासनसन्निविष्टः।
केयूरवान् मकरकुण्डलवान् किरीटी
हारी हिरण्मयवपुर्धृतशंखचक्रः ॥

Also found this set of verses on identifying Surya and Shiva and also the
Trimurtis with Surya:  The source of these verses is not known:

“आदित्यञ्च शिवं विन्द्याच्छिवमादित्यरूपिणम्उभयोरन्तरं नास्ति आदित्यस्य
शिवस्य च ॥

एतदिच्छाम्यहं श्रोतुं पुरुषो वै दिवाकरः ।उदये ब्रह्मणो रूपं मध्याह्ने तु
महेश्वरः ॥अस्तमाने स्वयं विष्णुस्त्रिमूर्त्तिश्च दिवाकरः ।नमो भगवते तुभ्यं
विष्णवे प्रभविष्णवे ॥
