Dear Vishvas,

On the advice from the sage Narada, the sage Vedavyasa wrote the Bhagavatam
in a simpler language, so that it would be good for all those people, who
found the Mahabharata difficult to understand (because of the Kuta verses
etc. in it). But, more than four thousand (>4,000) years later, it appeared
to Shri Madhvacharya, that the sage Vedavyasa did not succeed in his
mission to write the Bhagavatam, which will be understood by all. Becasue
of that notion, Shri Madhvacharya wrote that nobody can understand the
Bhagavatam, without reading his (i.e., Madhvaharya's) commentary.

However, the Advaitin scholars, particularly ShriShridharacharya's guru,
did not agree with the claim of Shri Madhvacharya, and that is why he asked
his disciple Shridharacahrya, to write a commentary on the Bhagavatam,
keeping the advaita messages intact.
