[Advaita-l] Kahlil Gibran's poem 'Fear' - depicting the Upanishadic Advaita

What Kahlil Gibran has said is the Upanishadic statement of an aparoksha
Jnani 'becoming' one with Brahman. The Mundaka mantra giving the analogy of
rivers giving up their names and forms merging with the ocean is apt.
Advaita alone accepts this concept fully without compromising in the
meaning.
यथा नद्य: स्यन्दमानाः समुद्रेऽस्तं गच्छन्ति नामरूपे विहाय ।
तथा विद्वान् नामरूपाद्विमुक्तः परात्परं पुरुषमुपैति दिव्यम् | l (मु,३-२_८)
